The best part, you don't have to forsake your existing cell phone (unless you want to). Simply pop the SIM card out of your current cell phone from AT&T/Cingular or T-Mobile and insert it into the back of the Mini Boombox Cell Phone and power it up. Call your existing cell phone number and your Mini Boombox phone starts ringing. Of course you get all the standard cell phone features you would expect including a 1.3 megapixel camera, voice dialing, SMS/MMS messaging and WAP Browser. One nice trick we like is the ability for the phone to read aloud the numbers of incoming calls using voice synthesis. The Mini Boombox GSM Cell Phone comes with 256 MB of built in memory to store your MP3 music files or videos, and the storage is expandable up to 2GB via a Micro SD card slot. Now you can share your musical tastes with everyone around you without making your old phone mad.

IMPORTANT
The Mini Boombox GSM Cell Phone is an unlocked tri-band GSM cell phone with no included SIM card. You will need existing service with either T-Mobile or AT&T/Cingular to use this phone in the USA. It will NOT work with Verizon or Sprint. You can use your existing SIM card from your current cell phone (in which case the Boombox phone will just become your cell phone with the same number and same voicemail while the SIM card is inserted), or buy a pre-paid SIM card from T-Mobile or AT&T/Cingular.

Product Features
Mini cell phone features a sliding keypad and built in boombox for playing MP3 music files tri-band unlocked GSM Phone (850/1800/1900 MHz), GPRS Speed for Data Powerful Amplified Speakers Sends SMS and MMS messages. However, the joystick method is problematic because it separates speed and direction controls, therefore requiring the soldier's undivided attention. The Wiimote hacks works exactly as you would expect; by simply waving the remote around the robot moves accordingly, and when an object of explosive interest is detected, the Wiimote's in-built vibration feedback goes nuts. We're guessing the B-trigger shoots the on-board machine gun, and if it doesn't, it definitely should.
The crazy modding pair plan to get to work on the iPhone next. They reckon soldiers should not need to lug laptops around with them when a modified iPhone could do the task equally well. First stop; iPhone controlled Packbot, complete with streaming footage. The latest version of the iPhone 2.0 firmware that was just seeded to developers has a YouTube plugin for MobileSafari.app"BGR tends to be a solid source, but we cannot confirm this to be true without some more evidence. Nonetheless, if true, YouTube video playback from within Safari will be possible on the iPhone, without launching a separate application for the content. That sure would make surfing the web and viewing content a helluva lot easier; here's hoping BGR is bang on with this one. Boy Genius also goes onto suggest that this may be indicative of some form of native Flash support, but we just can't raise your hopes like that. They will now be able to put the contracts in their own names, ETECSA said.
Cubans will be able to buy computers and DVD players next month for the first time, if they have the hard currency to pay for them. Just two years ago, banned DVD players were being confiscated by airport customs officials on arrival in Cuba.
Raul Castro, 76, has also launched a restructuring of agriculture to reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks and boost food production.
A major public complaint that his government will have to deal with is that wages paid in Cuban pesos are too low, while consumer goods have to be paid for in convertible pesos, or CUCs, worth 24 times more than pesos.
Cubans will pay for their mobile telephones with prepaid cards bought in CUCs that will allow them to receive and make international calls.
ETECSA, in which Telecom Italia has a 27 percent stake, said the hard currency income would be invested in the expansion of land lines, where Cuba has the sixth lowest density in Latin American.
About 60 percent of Cubans have access to hard currency from cash remittances sent by relatives living abroad, mainly in the United States, or through factory and farm bonuses and tips from foreign tourists.
In the streets of Havana, the freeing of cellular phones services came as welcome news to all.
"It was an obvious measure. There will have to be more like it to get rid of the thousand and one obstacles that make life bitter in Cuba," said university student Jofre Valdes, 23.
"This was an anachronism. They have to end all unnecessary restrictions," said state employee Humberto Vega.

Latest Samsung Phones that Impressed at CES 2008

Not many phones have a sophisticated design and so many technologies integrated as Samsung models, especially those exposed at CES 2008.The expert in mobile phones presented the most revolutionary models at the show in Las Vegas, as a demo of cutting-edge technology and design innovation, and we are talking about SGH-i450, SGH-G800, SGH-i620, and the SGH-i780.

If we take a closer look to each of them we can observe a stylish music phone with dual slider design, touch wheel music navigation and Symbian S60 OS features, all in one phone, the Samsung SGH-i450.The Smartphone brings advanced download application and multitasking features with fast speeds provided by the HSDPA connectivity support. When you slide it down it becomes a music player with touch wheel navigation for controlling the multimedia menus the easiest way, while the metallic speakers with ICEpower amplifier support created by Bang & Olufsen provide a clear sound.

Samsung SGH-G800 is the world’s first 5MP phone with 3x optical zoom combining the features of a digital camera with a multimedia mobile device, and coming in a sleek form factor. Its camera has special features such as face detection, Wide Dynamic Range and photo and video sharing.
Coming in a vertical slide design with a full QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile 6 and podcasting, is the Samsung SGH-i620, a handset with support for RSS feeds, built-in music player and a 2MP camera.

Another smart phone from Samsung is the SGH-i780 sleek mobile device with full QWERTY keyboard and full touch-sensitive screen. The 8 megapixel module is expected to supplant the 5 megapixel job found in todays top-end cameraphones sometime in the second half of the year. Fortunately, this isn't just a case of megapixel marketing as the module also features anti-shake, a 1-cm macro, and face tracking technology. It also packs a smile shutter feature to snap that picture just as soon as a smile, or vinegar, is detected.

Contact person: S. Y. No, its not just a phone, its:
connected, through constant high speed access to the internet via wireless/3G network; for web browsing, email, RSS, social networking; and constant voip/skype connectivity for next to free international phone calls got an inbuilt GPS with Google/Garmin/Tomtom maps support a fantastic camera/video camera for day to day use, which stands up against most of the cheaper consumer modelled digital cameras a worthy media player for playing both 3gp/mpeg4’s and divx/mp3 and pretty much anythign else you can throw at it. also, all those other things you’d expect from a similar unit. A phone, calendar, address book. As you can see, for the time being, we like this machine a little bit too much, and I hope things stay that way.

We will end this by writing a quick list of the best applications We’ve found to date to make the N95 experience even better. Behold, in no particular order:

truphone
A VOIP/telephone app This app literally blew me away. As long as I’ve got internet connectivity (either through a Wireless LAN, or my phone providers 3G network), I can make and recieve phone calls to pretty much any where in the world (yes, Australian mobiles too) for free. I’ve long been used to calling friends and family via Vonage or Skype at home due to the sometimes prohibitive cost of calling an Australian mobile via land line, this is all that, and more from a device you carry on you at all times.

Mobile Gmaps & Google Maps Mobile
Just like Google Maps, or Google Earth, with the added benefit of GPS tracking through the phoones GPS. MGMaps is (I believe) a joint project between Microsoft, Yahoo and Google to provide extensive maps/satellite images to the mobile platform, so its definitely the better of the two.

Opera Mobile Browser
Yes, the same web browser, which I used for a quite a while before the eventual migration to Firefox permanance (word?!), it definitely seems to out perform the standard web browser speed wise, though its not quite as streamlined, look and feel wise.

Gmail Mobile
In all fairness I should probably group google maps altogether, as they’re always fantastic. But this a functioning, fast client for the Gmail mail service And really, the list could go on forever. But a few more things to check out are:

TaskSpy - A task/process list with memory/CPU information and the ability to kill processes

YBrowser - A file browser, text viewer, unzipper to access all areas of the phones storage

Accelerometer plugin - Plugin to access the phones inbuilt accelerometer (read: Wiimote ninja style)

rotateMe - An app for auto changing between landscape and portrait depending on the angle the phone is held at (requires Accelerometer)\

FlipSilent - Flip the phone to silence an incoming call, flip it back again to turn volume on again (requires Accelerometer)

ActivityMonitor - A Pedometer to record steps and exercise activity for the health buff (requires Accelerometer)

SportsTracker - Same as above with GPS support for distance/mapping calculations

RSSWorld - An RSS Feed Grabber

putty - The same SSH Client Windows Live

Messenger - Enough said

Omni Tech Limitd
378 Great North Road
Henderson, Auckland

New Zealand

Tel: +6498383943
Fax: +64983838947

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://omnitechnz.blogspot.com/2008/03/pimp-your-nokia-n95-today-omni-tech-ltd.html' title='Pimp Your Nokia N95 today! As of today the iPhone will be officially offered in Austria and Ireland too. The exclusive carrier for Austria is T-Mobile (same as in Germany), while the place to get it in Ireland is the O2 network (same as in UK).
Now anyone interested in the Apple iPhone already knows what it's all about, so we won't be getting into details about the handset itself. Instead we will concentrate on pricing and the available contracts.

O2 in Ireland will be selling the Apple iPhone for the same price of 399 euro for the 8GB version and 499 euro for the 16GB one. Signing a 18-months contract with O2 will get you access to the three available tariffs.

For 45 euro per month you get 175 minutes of talk time, 100 messages and 1GB of wireless EDGE traffic. For 65 euro per month you get 350 minutes of talk time, 150 messages and 1GB of wireless EDGE traffic. And finally, for 100 euro per month you would be able to enjoy 700 minutes of talk time, 250 messages and 1GB of wireless EDGE traffic. Visual voicemail is not available and data traffic exceeding 1GB will be charged at 2 eurocents per MB. You can find more about the tariffs here at O2 online store.

Interestingly enough, it seems there is an option that allows you not to enter or stay in contract with O2. In this way you will not be able to use the phone functionality of the iPhone - this right here sounds like an opened door to all jailbreakers, virginizers and unlockers in Ireland. Say hello to the iPhone!

In Austria the iPhone will come with a choice of two subscription plans. None of these includes unlimited data but the 3GB provided seem enough to us. The Classic subscription plan includes also 1000 minutes of calls in all networks and costs 39 euro per month.

The more expensive Supreme plan will set you back 55 euro a month but includes quite a lot more extras. The Supreme users will have 1000 minutes of call in the T-mobile networks, 1000 minutes to fixed networks and 1000 minutes for the other networks. The texters will also appreciate the 1000 included SMS in this plan. Visual voicemail is again not available.

No matter which plan you choose the 8GB version of the Apple iPhone is going to cost you 399 euro, while its 16GB sibling is valued at 499 euro. You can find more about the tariffs here at T-Mobile website.

http://www.omnitech.co.nz/

Pictures of new Nokia N96 leak! I've tried over phones, other Nokia handsets, other NSeries, handsets from Motorola and handsets from Sony Ericsson. Most recently I purchased an N95, but even that went in favour of my N73, as I mentioned back in July. The N73 just gives a good solid all round package. It is reliable, dependable, has a very good quality camera, is well built, solid, and hard working. It is simple and straight forward to use, and has a battery that just goes on and on. I know when I leave home for the day I can listen to music on the phone, do some web browsing whilst I'm out and about, view some email, make some calls, send text, just the ordinary things you do on a daily basis with a modern mobile phone these days and the battery won't run down. I've never been caught out without power on my N73, unlike past handsets, like the N80 and N95. My N73 has served me well, and it would take something very good to tempt me away. And something especially has arrived.
To get straight to the point, the Nokia N82 is a damn fine phone. Very often with a new phone you will find little niggles, something that doesn't work as well as you would expect, or something missing that would have seemed a logical inclusion. It's still early days, but so far the N82 is proving to be a reliable top notch handset. The design is good. The phone feels well built, has a solid feel and is well balanced, with good weight distribution. One of the most important parts of a mobile phone is the keypad. Without a decent keypad, a phone fails. The keypad on the N82 is different, very reminiscent of the W880i from Sony Ericsson, but as the keys are not as cramped as they are on a W880i they are much more user friendly. Sending a text message on the N82 is simple and straight forward, and the keypad is an improvement over the cramped layout found on the N73.
Down the right hand side of the phone you find near the top the micro USB port, in the middle the Micro SD slot and near the bottom the charging port. The N82 doesn't charge via the USB cable. All you find on the bottom of the phone is the microphone. Then, going up the left hand side of theh andset, at top and bottom are the speakers, in between which there is the camera shutter key, gallery shortcut key and volume keys, which double up as zoom keys when in camera mode. The Nokia N82 has a 3.5mm jack point, which you can use with your own headphones for music listening. In a smart move, Nokia have placed this on the top of the phone, so when the phone is in your pocket the headphone lead sits naturally on top. The lanyard slot is on the top right hand corner of the phone, right next to the 3.5mmm slot.

The N82 is designed for 'technology stylists', people who like their phone to look good but don't want to lose out on features. The main focus of the phone is the excellent 5.0 megapixel camera. The camera is equipped with autofocus, a Xenon flash and a Carl Zeiss lens. The lens is covered by a protective cover, which when flicked open automatically activates the camera. The response time is very fast, in no time the camera is active and ready for use. There are various camera options in the settings menu, for changing scene mode, adjusting colour options, white balance, etc. When a picture is taken it stores very quickly. Press the capture button again after taking a pic and almost instantly the N82 is ready for the next shot.

The speed is very impressive. The N82 has a large, TFT, QVGA screen supporting up to 16 million colours. As a viewfinder for the camera the whole screen is used and the clarity is superb. Browsing around phone forums and other blogs in the last day I've seen some people complain about the small size of the screen. Personally I think it is more than adequate, and a bigger screen would also mean a bigger phone. That would have upset the balance of the handset.
The N82 is very fast, considerally quicker than any S60 phone I have used to date. From boot up, the N82 accesses straight into the menu without any noticeable delay. Anyone who has used a S60 phone will know that this is not usually the case. Menu navigation is quick and snappy, and the D-Pad is easy to use. I've installed quite a few apps and I will talk about that in a separate post.

There are some nice touches in the menu system. The Active Standby screen has the usual six icons which can be changed to suit your own choice. Underneath the icons is the standard calendar entries, plus a shortcut to the WiFi scan and the search feature. This is all good, but just a quick point, on an old favourite hobby horse of mine. Please, Nokia, include on the NSeries phones the excellent Active Standby Plugins found on ESeries handsets. I posted about it here after finding out about it on the E65. It just enhances the user experience that little bit more.
The search option on the N82 is very good. Highlight the shortcut option from the standby screen.
Once selected you are presented with the screen of available search options. You can go straight to the internet to search, or search through content on the phone.

You can scroll down to the selected option, in this case bookmarks
A simple flick to the right opens all bookmarks on the phone
All options in search work in a similar way. It makes browsing through contacts, notes, messages, etc, simple and straight forward.
Simple and straight forward is a good line for this phone. Not simple in features, just simple to use. Another nifty feature is the small option key, found on the front above the C key. Pressing this takes you by default to the last picture taken on the phone, with an option to view a slide show of pictures or view albums on the front tab. There are 7 tabs which are scrolled through in a kind of carousel design.

The tabs can be reset into the order you prefer. The tabs available are Gallery, Music, Videos, Games, Maps, Internet and contacts.
There is so much more on the N82. I've used it on Vodafone and Orange so far and had excellent HSDPA connections on both. Data transfer is fast, downloaded from the net and to/from PC via the USB cable. The N82 has an integrated GPS chip and also supports A-GPS. Lock on time is less than 10 seconds. The antenna is at the top of the phone, which makes sense as most people will use the phone in car in a phone holder. The N82 also supports Bluetooth 2.0 so will work with compatible Bluetooth headsets for wireless music playback, and there is support for W-Lan too.
It's been a while since I've been so impressed with a phone, straight from the off. There have been no freezes, no memory errors, no glitches. The N82 is that good that I don't want to go back to using my N73. And trust me it takes a damn good handset for that to happen.

For more technical information, you can contact our phone repair specialist Eric at (09) 8383943, Auckland, New Zealand.

Life in pictures: Sir Edmund Hillary

We are deeply sadden by the passing away of Sir Edmund Hillary on 11 January 2007. As a Nokia and Sony Ericsson mobile phone user, I use the datacable to send and receive text messaging (SMS'); it is far better than using the Bluetooth connection or the infra-red port. The following are the some things you can do with your mobile phone datacable:

1. Edit, Backup, and Organize the personal phonebook on PC and Upload to phone, also synchronize Microsoft Outlook & Outlook Express contacts with Mobile phone.

2. Support SME, EMS and MMS. With MMS Composer, you can feel free to add cheerful animations, MIDI and audio clips on top of funny images and text to your MMS messages.

3. Compose and edit personal polyphonic ring tone with up to 128 different instruments. Create Hi-Fi music by superb recording and mixing/editing AMR. Voices and WAV audio files.

4. Spice up interesting images on your camera phone. Compose and edit favorite pictures and GIF clips into a surprising animation with more than 42 special effects. File Manager makes you download/upload files easily.

5. Support GPRS Mobile Internet Connectivity for the modem-capable phones. Enclosed GSM/GPRS Modem set-up utility is especially designed for Mobile phone users to facilitate Wireless Modem installation and Mobile Internet exploration.

6. Mobile phone software - USB Data Suite also functions as another handy charger to ease your traveling.

Best Tricks and Tips for your Nokia N95

We have created a list of N95 tips and tricks for this phone after being disappointed with other Internet articles on customising your N95. If you have any other tips i haven't mentioned let me know and I'll add them to the list.

First if you want to get the best from your phone READ THE HANDBOOK!

The N95 is a Symbian 60 phone like the N73, N80 and N70 before it and so some of the tips are based on ideas from these phones. Some of the tips will also work for Nokia Symbian 60 phones like N90, N91, E61 and the E70.

We used Freeware applications for the N95 and avoided shareware although there is a lot out there. If you like the freeware Listed, you can find a good PC freeware list at:

http://pcsos.org.uk/freeware.html

http://o-k-computer.blogspot.com/
If you need more information on Nokia N95, please feel free to contact the professional engineers at Omni Tech Limited, 378 Great North Road, Henderson, Auckland. So what is mobile phone unlocking? To have your mobile phone unlocked is to remove the sim lock which dedicates your phone to one network."Why would I want to unlock my phone and use this mobile phone unlocking UK service?", you may be asking, well, If you want to change network suppliers i.e. say from network X to network Y, you would have to pay network X in the region of $50 to $250 to do so, basically because they don't want you to join someone else for the obvious reason that they would lose your money!

So, what do we do? We simply un-lock the sim locks from the phone so that you can use any network you please - the way we think it should be! Please do not attempt to do unlocking without knowing what you are doing with the proper hardware and unlocking software. Many had killed of their brand new phones (especially the new 3G phones).

Unlock is simple, fast and not illegal (if it is done by professionals). In the old days, when mobile phones where the size of brief cases (only joking) the only way to unlock your mobile phone was to rig it up to a pc, try all sorts of "unlocking software" hoping that the handset wouldn't die, flash it and remove the lock. Omni Tech Limited was the most talked about and most respected mobile phone unlocking professional in Auckland, New Zealand.

Today, Omni Tech Limited can provide this service for Nokia mobile phones. Why waste your money to buy a new phone to use in New Zealand? Give us a call and we can sort you out and take away your misery!

Note: Mobile phone unlocking is not to be confused with mobile phone unblocking blacklisted. Unblocking a blacklisted handset is in fact ILLEGAL. Anyone carrying this proceedure out can face a large fine and the distinct possibility of doing porridge at the jail. A handset only becomes blocked when it has been reported stolen by the legitimate owner, or replacement unit being claimed for lost.

All that's required is for a simple form to be submitted and a nominal fee to be procured and the remote unlock procedure on almost any Nokia mobile phone can be carried out.

Besides that, Omni Tech Ltd will be able to provide unlock for the newer generations of mobile phone (please call David for free quote and information at +6498383943 or email us at info@omnitech.co.nz)

How do I increase N70 battery life?

Nokia N70 comes with BL-5C Li-Ion 970 mAh battery. It promises about 3.5 hours of talk time and nearly 11 days of stand-by time. However it is usual to hear complaints of the Nokia N70 battery not being good. Often the situation can be improved a lot if we were to identify the prime cause of power drain.

First step is to accept that the N70 is no mean machine. It houses a multi-tasking operating system, and packs several devices into one small unit. Do not compare it's needs with a normal cellphone. You are safest if you make it a habit to charge it daily when your day's work is done or while you are sleeping. This is what you would do if it were a Laptop or a PDA, and these are what are closer cousins of an N70 than the ordinary cellphone that probably has a low resolution camera and can play some polyphonic tones.

Okay, now here are the prime culprits for draining battery.

1) Talking too much!
When you are talking to your girl/boy friend, you probably end up thinking that you used up much less time than you actually did - Theory of Relativity by Einstein. If you are a sales person or spends lot of time talking to friends, get a backup battery. If a little increase in the talk time would satisfy you, try the tips that follow or get a BL-6C (1070 mAh) battery. It is a bigger battery but Nokia seems to have left just enough space under the battery hood for the BL-6C. However, be aware that it is a really tight fit and if you don't insert the battery and close the lid very carefully, you might end up spoiling the cover. It may not be a bad idea to monitor your call time at the end of calls. In case you don't get to see the call duration, go to Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Call and enable the "Summary after call" option.

2) Operating the phone in low signal areas
It takes energy to keep searching out for your provider's network. The same can happen when traveling where the reception keeps varying. Look for a better provider if feasible.

3) Keeping 3G and Bluetooth ON even when not required
You can disable 3G by Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Network and setting the Network mode to GSM instead of Dual mode. To disable Bluetooth go to Menu -> Connect. -> Bluetooth.

4) Heavy applications used frequently or kept running in the background
Heavy applications are those which use a lot of CPU power. These can include virus scanners, players (movie, music, graphics), 3D games, GPS utilities and office applications. Usage of the video camera and external speakers also drains power. A graphical-oriented theme could also have some minor contributions to depleting batery power. Since N70 allows multitasking, often you may leave multiple applications running by using the Menu key. Keeping the Menu key pressed would bring up the active tasks list. You can close unnecessary applications by moving the selection to the unwanted one and hitting the Clear (right-bottom C) key. Usage of video calls and bluetooth can result in exhausting the battery power quickly.

5) Old battery
Some suggest a full charge before first use and occassional full-draining before recharging. However, there doesn't seem to be any proof that these work.

6) Keeping the brightness level high
See if you can afford to reduce the brightness of the LCD screen and the time it remains ON, by navigating to Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Display.

Need more advice and tips?
Please get in touch with S. What this means is that you can run most of the Java applications.

You can find a good compilation of free S60 software at the 3-Lib Page.

Useful Java and Symbiam applications (not all is free) might be found at GetJar.com.

I recommend the following very useful free utilities:

Autolock - lets you setup autolocking of the keypad after a configurable period of inactivity.

Fexplorer - a very versatile and must-have file manager.

XXL ScreenSaver - keep a big time display on screen with additional information when the phone is in locked mode.

How do I upgrade the N70 memory?

Apart from the 22 MB of free internal memory, Nokia N70 comes with a 64 MB Reduced Size Dual Voltage (1.8/3V) MultiMediaCard (MMC).

This is a half-sized card, so don't confuse it with the normal MMC or SD cards. While this memory is sufficient to store day-to-day data, it would soon run out if you want to store several music tracks, a few movies, several recorded video clips, some audiobooks, pictures etc.Currently RS-DV MMC is available with upto two gigabytes (2 GB) capacity. You could get a good one GB Kingston brand card easily on online stores such as eBay, Amazon or photo/cellphone vendors for under $50. Nokia too sells these cards but are costlier. Try not to go for unheard of companies. Any of Nokia, Sandisk or Kingston would be fine, the latter to being specialists in memory cards. If you intend to use the N70 as an MP3 or Movie player or would like to take lot of photos or capture video for long then this would be money well spent.

Okay, you did get a new RS-DV MMC, a 512 MB or a 1 GB. First thing to do would be to copy the data from the existing 64 MB card to the new one. If you are one of those lucky ones who have a Laptop or PC with a Memmory card reader, things are easy. The reduced sized cards come with an extension piece which makes it a full MMC card. Use the full cards to temporarily copy all the data from the 64 MB card to the computers hard disk and then copy it back into the new MMC.

The other way is to use the PC Suite software along with the PC Connectivity cord to transfer the files and folders temporarily to the PC. Now if you are one of those unfortunate souls who don't have a computer in sight, you can ignore to copy the data (yes! the phone would still work fine) or do it with a little patience by using the N70's in-built memory.

To do this go to Menu -> Tools -> File Mgr. and then copy the folder/files to a temporary folder created in the phone's memory. Note that you can switch between the phone's memory and the card's memory using the right & left arrow keys in File Manager. Depending on you may need to do it in pieces.

Note: The removable memory card is by the right side of the N70. Open the flap carefully (looks a bit flimsy) and use your nails to give the card a push to pop it out. When inserting it back feel the click into position.

Why not Nokia N70?

Why Nokia N70?

Nokia N70 is a popular N-Series SmartPhone from Nokia featuring 3G Video Call, a powerful MP3/AAC/M4A player, an amazing Video Camera that can store videos directly in ultra-compressed MP4 format, a 2-megapixel Digital Camera, a Radio, Microsoft Office, Text and PDF viewers, Image and Video editing capabilities, multi-tasking as in Windows and above all the capability to expand the features by installing Symbian Series 60 (S60) software. It is an excellent cellphone with Bluetooth, Tri-band, GSM/WCDMA support, Picture Messaging and excellent call clarity. It supports screensavers, themes and desktop wallpapers as well as has all the other handheld type features such as calendar, reminder, notes, calculator, converters etc.

While there are heavier and bigger models in the NSeries, the N70 offers the right amount of everything with an excellent form factor. For example one could ask – When you get crystal clear video, photos and text on screen with a 176x208 resolution screen, what do you get extra by having a 320x240 or more resolution other than ending up with more picture/movie size? Or when you could print a 1.3 Megapixel photo with acceptable quality on a 5x7 inch photopaper, why would someone need more than a 2 megapixel camera for the casual photographer? If it is an MP3 player alone that you desire, go for an iPod rater than an N91. If it is a excellent digital camera that you want, go for a good Nikon or Sony digital camera rather than an N80 or a Sony Eriksson K800. The cellphone just can’t get as good as a professional device! If it is a good bit of everything that you want at a size that fits into your palm and cost that fits into your pocket, Nokia N70 is the one for you!

Got a Nokia N70 already? Great! Let us get the best out of it.

If you need to unlock your N70 to be use in New Zealand, please email us or visit our site

Besides that, the price came at half of iPhone in the market. For sure, in term of available features and functions, it definitely can’t be matched with iPhone. The Software looks ugly and you have to use a pen (that comes with it) to navigate, not hand as in iPhone. Video and sound quality are OK but not great.

The video of the fake iphone is located here http://youtube.com/watch?v=f_8wuVEYMZ8

Mobile Phone Network Unlock (BB 5 Platform)

The following are the pricing table for unlocking BB5 range of mobile phones to be used in New Zealand. Please call +6498383943 or email info@omnitech.co.nz to confirm pricing.
